Days of a Waiter

At last, i accepted my part time job as a waiter. it is a part time job, i will be informed to work on some particular days. 4 hours and 30 minutes work will gain me RM15. Mostly i work at night section only. I can work for 2 sections per day if i want, it means RM30 per day. But it will be just on some "particular" days ^^.

Bin Yah is a moderate sized restaurant located on the 5th floor of Wisma Sanyan SIBU (for me it is not big enough ^^ ). It fits up to 60 ten sits tables. After 4 working days, i think i am clear enough what my duty is. More or less, my job is to serve the customers according to their needs (filling up any empty glass & delivering dishes).

I personally concluded that there are 2 type of services, the economical one and the luxurious one. During the economical function, we offer the customers mainly chinese tea, orange juice and air swam only hehe (warm drinking water lol). Everyday, our leader divide us into several sections, each section take care of 4 to 6 tables.

Thanks to my senior she taught me a lot on my first day! She is a young chinese girl with a bony tail. We barely have any trouble in communication. Firstly, we will need to standby several jurs. Then, we fill them up with 3 different type of drink. Simple as 123, we just act like an auto water filling machine. As soon as the function begin and the plates are ready, we receive signal from the counter and every waiter has to gather up themselves there.

Hmm, so far nothing special. But i noticed that our leader always monitoring the food each time they come out from the kitchen. She wants to make sure every dish to be in a perfect matter. Another girl with special costume on will lead us to every table. She is like the mother duck while we are all the young ducky following her all the time~ I felt so hungry... while holding the plate >.< . The ultra tempting smell keep on rushing into my nose ... I just kept my mouth shut tide to prevent leakage of my saliva. lmao...!

So the process just repeat and repeat. Finish delivering the food, we go back serving those hungry customers. Hell ... they drink like a water pump !! I cant even take a breath, sob.. The other stuffs we do will be like delivering the fellows some green chilly slices, vinegar, KICAP and chilly or tomato sos. That isn't the worst part, for me, the ending process is quite a nightmare to me. We will have to gather all the wet chop sticks and spoons with their yucky saliva on. OMG OMG!

The job isn't that simple as it look. Hahaha, i even learned how to stack ! We have to stack the all the small plates on a table and fit them into a bigger oval plate. This is quite a hard task for me on my first day. So i took a peak on the other, hehe, geez , it wasn't that hard ~ The small bowls should be placed on the center while surrounding them with other flatter plates and just throw all the spoons on top of them. DONE ! The combination look like a water lily , hehe~ I was impressed by my own "art" every time i done that. So we just have to deliver all the plates STEADILY to the kitchen in order to be washed.

This is because the kitchen area as well as the door site will be so oily ! HEHE, that wont be any big deal for me because i will have my sport shoes on~ strong grip ^^ Afterward, we will need to replace all the table clothes to clean one, arrange new table sets, clean glasses and napkins. Before i forget, during a luxurious dinner, we offer soft drink like coca cola, sprite and 100 plus (including chinese tea and air swam of coarse). Oh hell... my God, my senior taught me how to giok the soft drink ! HAHAHA, he hide some of them at the corner and bring back when the function end ! We will tell the customers that we have run out of the drink ~.^ ( So Cheh Giam ARRR, GABIA LOR HIM... )............................P.S...i brought home a bottle of coca cola... ahem ahem...

One rule which we must obey always is... slow and steady ! Never break anything and fell on to the ground. It will be a GAME OVER if anyone accidentally dropped a hot dish onto someone .. i cant imagine that >.<" (shivering...)

I shall upload a photo of my friend and i working at Bin Yah..Sadly i don't have a chance.. because my friend samuel has stopped the work. Soon im gonna take a pic of myself ^^ if i have a chance... ^D^

The Fastest Route TO Something New

I do believe each of us are unique, we travel on different roads. However, i don't trust fate. Sometime i feel like everyday is a preset, it is scheduled. Again, another however, i believe we are able to control our future, we can... change our fate. Every religion teaches its followers that their Lord made their journey. I am not religion hater but i just disagree we human should count on our Lord entirely. I believe our dear Lord created us with limbs and a special built-in processor (the coconut) is not for decoration. The all mighty Lord left this beautiful planet unlimited variables. This is why we think and act differently, the Lord wanted us to live our own unique way out. We shouldn't stop trying in our limited lifespan. I know, maybe something is risky and dangerous, yet bunch of unpredictable hardships, but there is something we should always bare in mind... Surprises show up only during endless approach to trying. Wasting time to regret is too unwise. Before we feel upset, lets spend 1 minute to think... is it worthy for me to feel down ? what can i do to fix that ? how can i make myself happy ? I am sure these 3 questions work far more effectively than crying in the bed =) Another thing ^^, Bad thing never last forever; Good thing always there for you if you just TRY to grab. For some reason, i like the Nike words, Just Do It ! Never complain the world to be so unfair... because.. the fastest route to something new is ... NEVER STOP TRYING. Our world is gonna change in our own hands !

Cross That Line

What can be used to measure the range between friendship and love ? How to know whether we have crossed the line ? I am still searching for the best answer which satisfy me well. Sadly my doubt never come to an end but more and more question marks. I often ask myself how should i treat my friends ? Especially the female. My sense tells me that a girl which is no longer single, whether temporarily or permanently, she is no longer available to be a close friend or even a contactable closet. Public believes it is the tradition or rule that a girl should avoid any friendship which potentially towards a new relationship. In simple word, MUTE. I wonder if that is the ancestral fault or the narrow mind of our society. What is wrong for a male to contact his female closet ? or what is wrong when a guy trying to treat his female buddy a little bit nicer ? Maybe the girls nowadays are too sensitive, they feel alert when a boy try to give a better friend treat to them or try to talk in a little lovely way. For the girl, this kind of act usually known as the attempt to start chasing after someone. But please don't assume every boy to be the same, sometime we take this kind of topic far more seriously than a girl could. Of coarse, we are just as simple as ABC, considering our age, you should expect more from us, we can think very maturely. Being caring and kindness is my personality, being humor is my ability, but it endangers some of my friendship. I hope the misunderstanding that caused by my natural behavior will soon come to an end =] . Thx friend.
